removed name Taj Mahal, 2010

Installation at Blind Alley Projects (Fort Worth, TX, USA), November–December, 2020.

Photographs from the liquidation sale of the former Trump Taj Mahal casino resort in Atlantic City. This came out of an earlier project, Learning from Atlantic City, with writer Brett Davidson. In that project we related instances of symbolic and material value within the distressed resort town of Atlantic City, through images and texts that described an encounter with the location, its occupants, the boardwalk casinos, and the pawn stores offering "cash for gold." no name Taj Mahal extends those interests, focusing on this one location and its transition. The window text creates a poetic echo of the items encountered and listed within the liquidation sale.
